Oscar Garcia commented for David Koenig,
Finance and Commerce, regarding the General Aviation industry
state and forecasts for financing and orders. InterFlight Consulting
has tracked the industry through several cycles and predicts
the current one to have more of a “restructuring” effect in how
aircraft are ordered and financed. The lowest priced aircraft
within each segment represent the most sensitive sector to the
economic recession and access to finance. Single engine pistons,
light-mid jets for instance, will see the strongest hit in new
and existing order cancellations. The turboprop sector remains
strong and will be neutral or even show a slight increase; depending
on oil price stability (instability helps turboprops!).
