Garcia and Wondair’s CEO, Juan Luis Maronda were hosted by
Embraer Executive Jets (www.embraerexecutivejets.com)
and attended the first air show presentation of the Embraer Phenom
300 at LABACE 2008 in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Wondair (www.wondair.com)
holds Europe’s second-largest order for Embraer Phenoms and
the world’s fourth with 36 aircraft on order and options.
At the show, Wondair confirmed conversion of 4 Phenom 100 slots
into Phenom 300. The event took place the first day of LABACE. Embraer’s
VP Business Jets, Luis Carlos Affonso formally presented to the
audience the Phenom 300 to its first fleet customer in Latin America,
ABC Taxi Aereo (20+ Phenom 100/300 orders). Mr. Affonso shared his
thoughts on the Phenom 300 progress and its applicability to the
Wondair new fractional and jet card business models. The Phenom
300 is two months ahead of its certification program with expected
first deliveries on the second half of 2009. In attendance was Mr.
Mauricio Botelho, Embraer’s immediate past CEO and current
Chairman as well as Mr. Federico Curado, Embraer’s present
CEO.
